Webster Thomas PTSA Book Fair at Barnes & Noble
We were back at Barnes and Noble on December 9th for the kick-off of the Webster Thomas High School PTSA Book Fair. Proceeds from the books sold that day would go to the high school’s PTSA. Webster Thomas is the high school that my son, Andrew, went to, and he played on their varsity basketball team. My other son, Sean, is a junior at the high school and is currently playing on their varsity team. So, I was more than happy to be asked to participate in this fundraiser. There was such a festive atmosphere in the store that day because young musicians from Thomas High School were there throughout the afternoon playing holiday music. I talked with many people that day, but looking back, one young man stuck out in my mind. His name was Nathaniel, and he loved basketball! His mom purchased one of my books for him, and they asked if I would sign it and take a picture with him. The smiles in that picture say it all!
